SAVE A PET

-*- Welcome to SaveDarlingtonPets that features DCHS's available dogs and cats -*-
Thank you for your faithfulness and dedication to saving our Darlington Darlings!
DCHS - Rescue

Forever change the life of one of our pets by rescuing them today! Our intake of pets far exceeds our local adoptions, so we rely heavily on rescues like you to pull our pets and save lives. We take in pets every day, so this page is constantly being updated. We encourage you to explore our site and find the perfect pet for your rescue. Please contact Kim at kimdchstiedemann@gmail.com to rescue a puppy/dog or CaraLee at caralee.henley@darlingtonhumane.org to rescue a kitten/cat today!

Visit our main site at www.darlingtonhumane.org to meet our board members and for more information on fostering, volunteering, and events happening with the Darlington County Humane Society.
Holt
Highlighting Holt - URGENT

Holt, 1 1/2 year old 38 lb heart worm negative terrier mix is available for rescue or adoption.  Arriving in July, he has spent 163 in a kennel waiting for his chance at a home. He’s dog friendly and enjoyed attention from a Junior volunteer.  Holt was very puppy like during play groups and is a nice small size. Holt is a cute, smaller boy who met both male and female dogs in play groups. He was a bit unsure at first but soon realized everyone, including the volunteers, were his friends.

Highlighting Gena

Meet Gena! Gena is a sweet girl who will happily sit by your side and think about life with you. She isn't one to lap sit, but she will help you pick out an outfit and talk over life decisions while she grooms herself. Gena is FIV+ which means she'll need to be an inside cat. She is about 1.5 years old, spayed, up-to-date on her vaccines, and ready to be in her own home.

About Darlington County Humane Society - Rescue
DCHS-Rescue is a 501(c)(3) located in Hartsville, SC. We are a dedicated team of volunteers whose goal is to reduce the euthanasia rate at our high kill shelter, improve the health of all shelter pets by providing veterinary and medical care, and provide a safe boarding area at our Bridge Boarding facility while waiting to transport to approved rescue partners. Due to low adoption rates, we rely heavily on rescues to pull and save our pets.
