7/24/25 Intake: domestic short hair, 0.73 - 0.86 lbs, 4 wks old, strays. The Bug Litter x 3 were brought in by animal control after being found at an abandoned house on Larkfield in Hartsville. Beetle (male), Butterfly (female), Skeeter (male).
Foster Update - Butterfly Sep 26, 2025: Playful and loving, Butterfly would be a wonderful addition to a home with other cats and/or children. She is happy to see her humans, and affectionately rubs on their ankles, follows them throughout the house, and comes when she's called! She's always stalking or pouncing on her brother and loves chasing string or ribbon. While her left eye is a bit droopy, that doesn't slow her down; she has a lot of energy and is always ready to play. She came in with her eye like that, most likely an infection that caused trauma but nothing serious, and it has healed.
Foster Update - Beetle Sep 26, 2025: Curious and tolerant, Beetle will make an affectionate pet and loyal companion. He is not bothered by being picked up or toted around the house by young kids, and gets along well with other cats. He talks to his humans, reminding them when it is mealtime, and loves to chase his foster brothers throughout the house. He is a climber and will peek at you from atop a cat tree, but will also find you on the couch for a snuggle.

More about Louis & Stevie Aug 15, 2025: Meet Louis (grey) and Stevie (ginger). They entered the shelter about a month ago with severe eye infections that required each of them to have surgery to remove an eye. They also had upper respiratory infections. Thanks to our super foster, Liz, they received the help and TLC they needed and are doing so much better! We aren't sure what Stevie's sight capability is, but we do know they love to snuggle and play! Both are available for adoption. They are both male, about 16 weeks old, up-to-date on their vaccinations. They are still in foster care so an appointment would need to be made to meet them. We'd ideally love to see them go into a home together as they have come to rely upon one another.
