Adults A-D

(1+ Yrs.)

When more dogs arrive than we can get out in a timely manner, our longest residents become URGENT. Often these are larger breed dogs that we adore but have simply been at the shelter too long with little to no interest from rescues, adopters, or fosters. When dogs are marked urgent, we could lose them at any time with little to no notice.

Alicia - sponsored for HW treatment

3/18/24 Intake: bulldog mix, 36 lbs, 5 yrs old, female, HW+, stray. Alicia was brought in by animal control from McCowans Millpond Road in Darlington. She came in malnourished and seems to have had many litters. She is such a sweet girl. She is heartworm positive.

Foster Update Nov 20, 2024: Alicia (also known as Bunny to us) is beautiful, sweet, very affectionate, and loves kids. She gets along great with our other dogs. She is calm and loves toys, bones, and any treats. She fetches, bringing the ball back, and can entertain herself. She is housebroken and keeps her crate very tidy. She sleeps through the night. She rarely barks. She rides good in the car. She walks on leash. We simply can't say enough good things about her. When meeting new dogs, she appreciates an introduction and then she builds a strong friendship with them. She is so loving with both her furfriends and her humans. She makes a wonderful companion and is very easy at 5-6 years old and around 55lbs. She warms our heart and has won over my husband with her cuteness. She’s low key with the cutest body language. She bows, hops, and drops onto her back for a belly rub (hence Bunny). She's just the perfect mix of EASY, silly, and loving. She is content to be in the same room on her dog bed or next to you on the couch. She’s a doll baby.
